Hey,
I was looking through the idea list and i came across the media
fingerprinting project,
I wanted to know some of the inner details and maybe get in touch with the
mentor or someone who is already working on it.
I particularly wanted to know about the finger print itself, and details on
how accurate / precise the fuzzy matching should be.

Cheers
Ajit

Hey,

I was checking out some of the media widgets already available , like
the social media widgets etc. so regarding the media widget project in the
GSOC projects list , can we use

$('#ourContainerId').Widget('OUR_LINK');

some this sort of plugin is desired ? Where Widget would be the required
plugin.

Regards,
Kartik A.

Hey Kartik,

I think that's along the lines of what we'd like to see, yes. The focus should be on thinking about different widgets for different media/use-cases, prototyping them, and testing them out.

Examples: could we make a full-page (not small) widget that can be embedded into a Tumblr blog to provide, say, a gallery of photos? What about academic papers? Could we make it sortable, filterable, etc? What about smaller widgets, for sidebars, or to include in page content?
